These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the SnipZip application and the SnipZip website. By downloading or using SnipZip, you agree to these Terms.
1. License
SnipZip is licensed, not sold.
Subject to these Terms and any applicable App Store terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use SnipZip on devices you own or control.
2. App Store Purchases
SnipZip is distributed through Apple's Mac App Store.
Purchases, billing, refunds, and subscription or one-time purchase management are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's applicable terms and policies.
3. Local Processing
SnipZip is designed to process files locally on your Mac.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, your files and archives are not uploaded to our servers for processing.
4. Your Files
You are responsible for:
- the files you choose to archive or extract;
- ensuring you have permission to access and distribute those files;
- maintaining backups of important data.
SnipZip cannot recover lost or damaged files.
5. Intellectual Property
SnipZip, its name, logo, design, source code, documentation, graphics, and other content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- reverse engineer the application where prohibited by law;
- redistribute modified versions;
- remove copyright notices;
- use SnipZip branding without permission.
Open-source components included with SnipZip remain licensed under their respective licenses.
6. Third-Party Software
SnipZip includes or depends on third-party open-source software.
Those components remain the property of their respective authors and are governed by their own licenses.
License information is available within the application and/or accompanying documentation.
7. Disclaimer
SnipZip is provided "as is" and "as available."
While reasonable care has been taken in developing and testing the software, no warranty is provided that SnipZip will:
- be error-free;
- meet every user's requirements;
- operate without interruption;
- successfully archive or extract every file.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnipZip and its developer shall not be liable for:
- loss of data;
- corruption of files;
- loss of profits;
- business interruption;
- indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use SnipZip.
9. Updates
SnipZip may receive updates, improvements, bug fixes, or new features.
Features may change, be improved, or be removed over time.
10. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time.
The latest version will always be available on the SnipZip website.
Continued use of SnipZip after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide additional rights, those rights remain unaffected.
